Children's Sunday School
Pre-school - 8th grade

Welcome to Christ Church Sunday School program! We offer a Christian education experience for pre-school children up through the eight grade. Our high school students either assist in helping in the Sunday school and/or participate in our Youth Group.

Our Sunday school begins at 9 am with everyone together for a children's service which includes a lesson, prayer and music. Then the children go to their grade appropriate classrooms. The classes are split in the following way:

  • Pre-school/Kindergarten
  • First and Second Grades
  • Third and Fourth Grades
  • Fifth and Sixth Grades
  • Seventh and Eighth Grades

Sunday school ends at 10 am, in time to get everyone up to the 10:15 am service.

During the church year we have fun and wonderful activities planned which include a Blessing of the Animals in October, Gingerbread house making in December, our Christmas pageant, and important outreach project during Lent and Easter activities

Adult Christian Education

Respected, statistically sound research has demonstrated that more than any other church-based activity, participation in Christian education promotes a person's faith maturity (a term which encompasses a person's reported satisfaction with their relationship with God and with key significant others in their life, a person's commitment to regular spiritual disciplines, and the level of a person's commitment to activities promoting
social justice).

Participation in strong Adult Christian Education programs is critical in passing on a meaningful faith tradition.

For the above stated positions, we at Christ Church are committed to developing a strong
Adult Christian Education Program. Presently we are offering an ongoing class at 9:00 AM on Sunday mornings. For more information about current offerings, e-mail the church office, or call  (973) 383-2245  (973) 383-2245 to speak with the rector, The Rev'd Robert Griner.
